How FORGED works, in three steps

Body

One practical challenge a day at Gentle, Standard or Challenging. Limited mobility or not up for it? A mobility alternative or an act of service counts. The app calls itself a devotional routine, not fitness advice, and so do we.

Mind

One passage from the World English Bible, quoted word for word, with a plain-English explanation and one action for the day. Quick Read, Go Deeper, or the original passage.

Spirit

Prayer and silence on a 3, 5 or 10-minute timer that dims the screen to a single ember. No sounds, no scores. Keep all three pillars and a stone goes into your Bastion.

A fair summary: 75 Hard is a mental-toughness program built on fitness volume and an unforgiving restart rule. FORGED is a devotional with a small daily physical ask. If what you actually want is the two workouts and the gallon of water, 75 Hard is the honest pick; nothing here replaces that.

Questions men ask before day one

Is there a Christian version of 75 Hard?

There is no official one; 75 Hard is Andy Frisella's program and it is not religious. People build their own "75 Holy" or "75 God" variants on social media by swapping the reading for Scripture. FORGED is a different shape: 90 days, about ten minutes a day, one practical challenge, one passage explained in plain English, and timed prayer, with milestones that are never erased by a missed day.

What are the actual rules of 75 Hard?

Per the program's own description: two 45-minute workouts a day, one of them outdoors; follow a diet of your choice with no alcohol and no cheat meals; drink a gallon of water; read ten pages of non-fiction; take a progress photo; every day for 75 days. Miss any task and you start over at day one.

How long does FORGED take each day?

About ten minutes: a Body challenge at Gentle, Standard or Challenging level (or a mobility alternative or act of service), a Mind reading with plain-English commentary, and a Spirit prayer timer of 3, 5 or 10 minutes that dims the screen to a single ember.

What happens if I miss a day?

In 75 Hard you restart from day one. In FORGED a missed day is simply a day without a stone in your Bastion; milestones you have earned, like the Belt of Truth at Day 7, stay earned. The listing is explicit: missed days never erase what you've earned.

Is FORGED free?

Day 1, Bible Basics, Bible Words, the What Do You Need? protocols, Sermon Notes and a free daily verse are free with no account. Days 2 to 90, the Focus Forges, Weekly Council, Bastion and armor progression and The Watch are Premium, sold monthly, annually (with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers) or as a one-time purchase; the screenshot shows US prices on the paywall.

Which Bible translation does it use?

The World English Bible, quoted word for word and labelled; FORGED's own commentary is always shown separately. Switch between Quick Read, Go Deeper and the original passage.

Honest limits

  • Most of the plan is paid. Day 1, Bible Basics, Bible Words, the What Do You Need? protocols and Sermon Notes are free; Days 2 to 90 are Premium. Try Day 1 before deciding.
  • It is not a fitness program. The Body pillar is one practical challenge, not a training plan. If your goal is physical transformation, you need something else alongside it, or instead of it.
  • One translation. Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible. If your church uses another translation, you will notice the wording.
  • No community inside the app. The Weekly Council is private, and there is no feed or group. Bring your own men's group if you want accountability from people.
  • Rewards exist. Streak flame, Forge Chest, badges and XP are there to bring you back; they are earned, never sold, and silent during prayer, and you can hide the Knight, Bastion and rank from Home if you prefer a calmer screen.

Who should pick something else

You want the physical grind

If the two daily workouts are the point, do 75 Hard. FORGED's Body pillar is about ten minutes.

You want a women's or couples' plan

FORGED is written for men. Nothing stops anyone using it, but the voice and the Ephesians 6 framing are built for men's discipleship.

You want group accountability built in

There is no in-app community. A church men's group plus a shared start date works better than any app for that.

If you start tonight, your dates

Day 1 is tonight. Milestones land on the days below; a missed day shifts nothing, because the plan counts days you complete, not calendar days.
